Thomas Begley is an artist living in Pittsboro, NC. His great love of drawing and fascination with artistic processes has encouraged him to make use of many different media, most notably colored pencil portraiture and relief printmaking. He has been pursuing mural painting as a way to experiment with design on a large scale. In all its forms, his work is surreal and playful and is inspired by observations gathered through years of studious people-watching. Currently, he is working on the restoration of a 1996 mural painted in downtown Pittsboro by outsider artist Clyde Jones.
